VLD Mühendislik, metan veya landfill gazı kullanan tesislerde iki farklı şekilde emisyon oranlarını düşürmektedir. Bunlar;
1-) It transforms carbon monoxide gas into hydrogen gas by spraying water into the flue gas in the facilities. Therefore, the amount of carbon monoxide in the flue gas at a rate of 94% decreases. Since hydrogen gas accelerates the burning time of the primary fuel, the amount of NOx generated during combustion is also reduced. Since the primary fuel in the boiler is reduced by burning hydrogen, the carbon dioxide gas resulting from coal consumption is also reduced. After combustion of hydrogen, only water vapor emerges. Thanks to the use of hydrogen as a secondary fuel in the boiler, the combustion quality is improved and the hydrocarbon ratio resulting from the combustion efficiency is reduced.
2-) Hydrogen can be produced by spraying water to methane or landfill gas in the facilities. As a result, it can be used as fuel in gas engines, high temperature furnaces and jet engines in hydrogen cogeneration units. Regardless of the hydrogen combustion system, if it is used as a fuel, it only produces water vapor and carbon dioxide. This is because, unlike primary fuel, hydrogen gas does not emit harmful gases such as nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, hydrogen sulphide after combustion. In addition, when hydrogen is used as fuel, it has higher kilocalories than existing methane or landfill gas. In this way, the same thermal energy can be produced by burning less than methane or landfill gas. Therefore, whatever the primary fuel is, less carbon dioxide will be released and there is no additional emission.
